INGLATERRA, 12 de septiembre de 2017 / AMP — Championship : Después de perder 0-2 con el Leeds United el 9 de septiembre y 3-1 con el Sheffield Wednesday el 9 de septiembre, los Reds volvieron con su estilo ganador con una victoria de 1-0 sobre el Sunderland en el Stadium of Light, este martes en el Stadium of Light, en la 7ª jornada de la segunda división inglesa.
Después de 45 minutos de juego, ni el Nottingham Forest, ni el Sunderland habían conseguido romper el empate. 0-0 en el descanso, todo se jugó en la segunda parte con el gol del delantero irlandés Daryl Murphy a cuatro minutos del final del tiempo reglamentario.
