El Brentford dominó la primera parte gracias al gol del defensa francés Yoann Barbet en el minuto 38. Yendo a la cabeza 1-0 en el descanso, los jugadores del Brentford ampliaron su ventaja en la segunda parte al marcar dos dos veces (Yennaris 62' y Watkins Ollie 84').
